MBC Conditions of Play 2023-24

Monbulk Bowling Club: Club Championship Conditions of Play 2023/24

1. Laws: All Championship events will be played in accordance with the Laws of Bowls (Crystal Mark Edition 4 or higher), and the Bowls Australia Domestic Regulations. All players need to be aware of these rules before play.
2. Eligibility:
A player must be a fully financial member of this club and nominate Monbulk as their primary club.
3. Controlling Body
   3.1 The Controlling Body reserves the right to amend the Conditions of Play as necessary.
   3.2 Any appeals or disputes must be raised directly with the Controlling Body. For 2023/24 th     e contact point is Jenny Holmes.
4. Club Championships are organized around the Bowls Victoria and Eastern Ranges events
5. Entries
   5.1 Entries are done by signing up on clubroom lists by the first week of October.
   5.2 Entry fee is $5 per event. Place payment in named envelope into red box in clubroom.
   5.3 Entries will not be accepted after the nominated closing date as per the published sched       ule
   5.4 The draw will be published on Team App and on the clubroom noticeboard.
   5.5 The Controlling Body will determine whether number of entries is sufficient to hold event.
6. Schedule of Matches
- completion date.
   6.1 All matches must be played on or before the scheduled date. Players first-named in the dr     aw are responsible for initiating the arrangement of date and time with their opponent befor       e    the “completion due date”
   6.2 All games not completed on or before the scheduled date will be automatically forfeited u     nless approval has been granted by the Controlling Body.
7. Singles Matches
- players first-named in the draw are responsible for organising for a marker to officiate. It is a condition of entry that losing players will always make themselves or a replacement available to act as a marker in subsequent games.
8. No play, practice, or training is permitted, by an entrant, on any club green on the day on which the club match has been scheduled.
9. Trial ends
– one trial end in each direction can be played prior to the commencement of each game. By mutual agreement, players may play fewer trial ends.
10. Dead Ends are replayed.
11. In the event of a tie, an extra end will be played to determine the winner.
12. Club Uniform to be worn for all finals matches.
